our beginning

Onofrio’s Top Shop has a rich history that we’re proud to share. Founded in 1991 by John Onofrio as Eternal Monuments, the business expanded into stone countertop fabrication a few years later at the encouragement of Norman VanHoek of VanMark Builders. Mr. VanHoek had experienced numerous issues with out-of-town countertop suppliers, and our local fabrication proved a resounding success. This marked the birth of Granite and Stone Decor.

2009

CNC MODERNIZATION

CNC technology was introduced to modernize the facility, enhancing precision and consistency in countertop fabrication. By automating complex cutting and shaping tasks, it greatly boosted efficiency and shortened production time. Furthermore, the CNC machines allowed the facility to accommodate more intricate designs, providing customers with a broader selection of custom options.

The CNC also enabled more precise seams and better handling of large slabs, meeting increased demand and allowing the facility more countertops faster, reducing our lead times and our Guaranteed pricing standard!

As John prepares for retirement, Eternal Monuments has been sold to another local company, which will continue to operate under the name Eternal Monuments in the same facility, now making them our new neighbors.
