What is natural stone?
Natural stone is quarried straight from the earth, formed over millions of years. That’s why every slab has its own colours, movement and character. We carry three kinds:
Granite
Speckled and flowing patterns in every colour. Tough, heat-resistant and the easiest natural stone to live with.
Best for: busy kitchens, islands, outdoor kitchens
Quartzite
The soft, veined look of marble with the hardness of granite. A natural stone, not to be confused with engineered quartz.
Best for: kitchens that want a marble look
Marble
Classic and elegant. Softer than granite, and acids like lemon or vinegar can leave dull marks, so it develops a lived-in character over time.
Best for: vanities, fireplaces, feature pieces
01
Quarried
Cut from the earth in huge blocks at quarries around the world.
02
Sliced into slabs
Each block is sawn into slabs, usually 2 or 3 cm thick.
03
Finished
Polished to a shine, or given a textured leathered or honed surface.
04
Made for your home
You pick the slab, and we cut, edge and install it from our shop.
Why people choose granite
Truly unique
Your counter will be the only one like it. Nobody else has your slab.
Built for cooks
Stands up to heat and heavy daily use far better than most surfaces.
Hard-wearing
One of the hardest natural stones, very resistant to scratches.
Goes outside
Sunlight won’t fade it, so it’s ideal for outdoor kitchens and patios.
Good to know: natural stone varies. Colour shifts, veins, mineral spots and tiny natural pits are part of its character, and a small sample can’t show it all. That’s why we encourage you to see and choose your slab in person.
Finishes, thickness and edges
Polished
Glossy and reflective. Brings out the deepest colour and pattern.
Leathered
A soft, textured feel with a low sheen. Great at hiding fingerprints and crumbs.
Honed
Smooth and matte for a calm, natural look.
Thickness
2 cm for a sleek profile, or 3 cm for a heavier, chunkier edge that’s popular on islands.
Edges
A clean eased edge on every top: crisp lines with the corners softened just enough to be comfortable and easy to wipe.
Granite we’ve installed
Kitchens, of course, but also vanities, bars, fireplaces, stairs and outdoor kitchens.

Where our stone comes from
We bring in granite from trusted importers. Browse their collections online, then ask us what we have in stock or can bring in.
Simple to look after
Wipe with warm water and mild dish soap, blot spills promptly, and skip vinegar, bleach and scouring pads. Marble especially needs gentle, pH-neutral cleaners.
Common questions
Will my countertop look like the sample?
Not exactly. Every slab is different, and even pieces from the same slab vary. That’s why we invite you to our warehouse to choose the exact slab your counters will be cut from.
Can I put hot pans on granite?
Granite handles heat very well, much better than quartz or laminate. We still recommend a trivet as a good habit, especially near seams and edges.
Can granite go outside?
Yes. Granite won’t fade in sunlight and stands up to our weather, which makes it our go-to for outdoor kitchens, BBQ islands and steps.
Is quartzite the same as quartz?
No. Quartzite is a natural stone, quarried like granite. Quartz is engineered from crushed quartz and resin. They sound alike, but they look, feel and wear differently. Come see both in our warehouse.
Granite or quartz: which should I choose?
Choose granite for one-of-a-kind natural beauty, heat resistance and outdoor use. Choose quartz if you want a consistent pattern and the simplest care. Come see both side by side.
What’s the difference between a slab and a remnant?
A slab is a full sheet for kitchens and big projects. A remnant is a leftover piece from a previous job, ideal for vanities, bars and hearths, and usually a great deal.
