Onofrio’s has been cutting stone in Sault Ste. Marie for over three decades. Today, under new ownership, the same experienced team is building on that history with better equipment, clearer communication and a higher bar for every job.

Established in 1991. Reimagined in 2023.

Onofrio’s Top Shop has been part of Sault Ste. Marie since 1991. It was founded by John Onofrio as a monument business, and within a few years it had grown into stone countertop fabrication.

In 2023, a new chapter began. Andre Duchesne, John’s longtime right-hand man, purchased the business with a clear vision: modernize the shop, invest in advanced technology, and bring a fresh approach to quality, service and customer satisfaction. The company was renamed Onofrio’s Top Shop and continues with the same committed team.

The changes go well beyond new equipment. We’re focused on better communication, greater accountability and making every customer’s experience as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. We’re proud of our history, but we don’t do things a certain way just because they’ve always been done that way.
